“But the latest crime statistics strongly suggest that bad times do not necessarily make bad people. Bad character does.” by Richard Cohen of the Washington Post [ Read the Entire Opinion Here ]
Mister Cohen wrote this statement in hi Op-Ed piece in the Washington Post today. I agree with him that “bad times do not make bad people. Bad Character does.” Bad Character, taught, learned, and lived by individuals who commit crimes against society.
However, the one thing he does not mention, is that the FBI’s latest report also indicates a decline in the number of crimes in areas where the Second Amendment is respected and honored. Perhaps the bad guys are beginning to worry that more people are carrying concealed than ever before. And they do not wish to attack strong, defensive victims. They always look for the weak and defenseless.
And that is why I am licensed to carry concealed. I refuse to be a defenseless victim. Bad Character makes Bad People. A strong Second Amendment encourages Bad People to behave better.
